Saturday marks two years since U.S. citizen and Danville, New York, native Ryan Corbett was wrongfully detained by the Taliban.
The humanitarian worker and his family lived in Afghanistan for more than 10 years, moving back to Western New York when the Taliban took over the country.
Corbett returned overseas to check on his business when he was detained.
The 40-year-old has been held in a 9-by-9 basement cell ever since.
